| Description |
DescriptionDownstream Change Summary Add ttlMonitorEnabled=false to docs for rolling index builds to match cloud implementation: https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/build-indexes-on-replica-sets/ Description of Linked TicketThe following procedure shows how administrators can build an index in a replica set in a rolling fashion where we build the index on each node while it is removed temporarily from the replica set temporarily and restarted as a standalone node. https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/build-indexes-on-replica-sets/ As a supplement to the documentation, it may be useful to add a JS test that demonstrates this procedure. It's a general flag that we've found improves reliability of restarting a process on an ephemeral port, which we do as part of automated restores, but also storage engine changes, etc. More details are in the linked HELP tickets in CLOUDP-38505, and I'm not sure of more justification details from there. |
