| Description |
DescriptionThe PyMongo page (https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/pymongo) links to the outdated documentation site. https://api.mongodb.com/python/ is no longer maintained. Starting in 3.10.0, PyMongo's documentation is now hosted on https://pymongo.readthedocs.io/en/stable/ Can we update all the links to point to https://pymongo.readthedocs.io/en/stable/ instead of https://api.mongodb.com/python? FWIW I happened upon the https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/drivers page via a Google search |

Sure. I created a PR, but am not certain it's the best solution since I think that page has been replaced by https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/ Did you locate a link to the "docs.mongodb.com/drivers/drivers" URL and if so, can you let me know where that is? If there are multiple pages that feature that url, we should probably create a redirect instead. |

chris.cho I just noticed that the https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/drivers page also contains a link to https://api.mongodb.com/python/current/. Can we update that too? |

Great thanks! I misunderstood your comment. Great idea about .htaccess. I didn't realize we could do that. |

Apologies, I wasn't clear. Yes, we can definitely update https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/pymongo for this ticket. |

But Docs does maintain https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/pymongo. We need to update that page to point to the new pymongo docs site (https://pymongo.readthedocs.io/en/stable/). |

Hi shane.harvey, Docs does not maintain api.mongodb.com. To create these redirects, I expect the .htaccess file in https://github.com/10gen/apidocs will need to get updated with all of the redirects. We can rescope this ticket to update the links on the docs page linked in the description though. alexander.golin mentioned he'll follow-up with a python ticket for this update. Cheers, |
