We have a section on manual padding: We should add a caveat that this approach will not work with capped collections, as the padding is removed from documents during initial sync. This will cause subsequent updates that grow the document to break replication. This is a problem during initial sync for any collection type, but upcapped collection docs are able to grow. We should probably warn against updating capped collections in general.... |
