 Description

Currently our docs only say you need a 2.4 MongoS to work with hashed shard keys.

http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/shard-collection-with-a-hashed-shard-key/

This is not the case, you need 2.4 MongoD's to deal with the hashed indexes otherwise data can wind up misplaced.
