| Description |
|
Mongosync will not officially support FLE2 for 1.0.0. Known limitations are that creating a new encrypted collection during CEA will cause mongosync to crash. Other operations on encrypted collections may succeed, but are untested. |

More details (not sure if need to document though): If an user accidentally creates new encrypted collections during an ongoing C2C sync, the C2C sync will crash and it will not be recoverable. The user must then empty the destination and restart the C2C sync from scratch. |
