| Description |
|
The Server Parameter documentation contains an out-dated reference to a change in the entry for diagnosticDataCollectionDirectorySizeMB. Specifically, it says: "Increased default size to 200 megabytes." (See screenshot). This seems to be a very old reference to a change made back in 3.4 - this is shown when looking at any other version of the documentation for this page. We should remove this reference entirely. |

Thanks Nick. After thinking about it a little more it might be helpful to leave a historical marker around as a guidepost. I realized that 3.4 may have been a supported version at the time 4.2 was released, so having that context could be reasonable, even much later on. That said, very much appreciate the quick fix on this issue. Please let me know if there's anything else I can assist with. |

adam.harrison@mongodb.com good catch. I think removing all end of life references is a separate ticket. Could you please file it? I'll bring it up in doc standup. Hopefully it's a quick regex and fix, but I don't know how broadly it affects the doc set. |

nick.villahermosa@mongodb.com - Sorry for the delay - I only just saw this today. The change looks good. Since we're already looking at this, will these changes also be removing outdated references to 3.2 + 3.4 changes in the older versions? For example, when looking at the 4.2 version of the docs, there are references showing 'New in 3.2' and 'Changed in 3.4' notes . Should we remove those references since those versions are well past end-of-life? |

adam.harrison@mongodb.com when you've got a minute can you take a quick look at https://github.com/10gen/docs-mongodb-internal/pull/1751 ? EDIT: Sorry for the early reminder, the 3 day weekend had me feeling like more time had passed, but the original PR was only put in on Friday. |
