 Description

At present the Atlas documentation is omitting any details on how the access control should be configured for the users to succeed with Data Federation / SQL querying.

Users can face obscure "not authorized" errors when trying to use the SQL features and as of now there is no way to infer from the documentation what custom roles should be added for Data Federation to be used.

LGTM, let's close. I don't think this has been an issue recently.

mark.kirpichnikov@mongodb.com Could you review and provide input if there is any further action needed?

mark.kirpichnikov@mongodb.com it looks like we cover these here: https://www.mongodb.com/docs/atlas/data-federation/config/config-data-stores/#privilege-actions is further action needed for this request? thanks

lander.kerbey@mongodb.com I went ahead and slotted this into a sprint as it's pretty well-defined.

The required privileges are configurable in a custom role, as follows:

I also could not find this documented anywhere
