Customers have reported an increase in disk i/o upon upgrading from 4.4 to 5.0 (See In version 5.0 and later, we introduced the tunable parameter oplogBatchDelayMillis to fix this problem. We should also document this in the 4.4 to 5.0 upgrade considerations |
