http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/core/sharded-cluster-architectures-production/ The sentence, "Typically, deployments have one mongos instance on each application server," can be misleading. If I have 500 application servers, chances are I do not also want 500 mongos as they will bog down the config servers. Better guidelines on the number of mongos to deploy would be nice. |
