In existing databases there is distinction between what people describe as a bulk operation (usually all-or-nothing single unit of work that changes multiple records) and a batch operation (usually multiple units of work sent to the server in one unit that still get executed one at a time). It seems that the docs use "bulk" where what is actually done is closer counterpart to "batch". http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/core/bulk-inserts/ |
