Hi Kay,

Assuming that operational and infrastructure setup is the sole responsibility of the customer, this documentation is to really guide them to verify that
1. Their SASL setup is correct
2. They can authenticate a user with defined privileges against their system.

In terms of their ldap tree and how the users are configured in it, and the filter they may select (like e-mail, user id, or a numeric id), knowledge of that setup should be local to the organization. So as I see it, this document looks like it can go live.
