 Description   

MMS Backup is allowed for replica sets running MongoDB 2.0 and 2.2. Please provide guidance on the following pages on how to setup when authentication is in use:

Hi Kenneth,

Yes. AddUser() as the name says creates a user, in this case, in the admin db.

After that, if you add the correct details in MMS in both the Host and Backup tab, you're good to go.

Hi, let me clarify the command i should do in version 2.0/2.2. one account for both monitoring & backup. it will be like the following:
>use admin
>db.addUser("mms_service", "abc123")

and i do NOT need to do the following part. is it right?
>use admin
>db.auth("mms_service", "abc123")
