Comparing the documented installation procedure for MongoDB 2.6 enterprise on Redhat: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-enterprise-on-red-hat-or-centos/ to that of 2.4: http://docs.mongodb.org/v2.4/tutorial/install-mongodb-enterprise/ one sees that the latter lists a bunch of required packages and instructions for installing them. Should the 2.6 documentation similarly list prerequisite packages for MongoDB installation, or is that a non-factor now that the MongoDB installations themselves are package-based? Also, what could be a separate ticket, the 2.6 enterprise installation instructions say
but this package is not available in the yum repository so this simply won't work. Enterprise packages are downloaded from elsewhere and installed manually afaik. |

Fix is in master, in freeze until 2.6.1 release. Will publish this fix then. |

The enterprise package download page links to: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/install-enterprise/ There is no mongodb-enterprise package. Such a metapackage exists only for the standard release. |
