Current documents contain information on the subjects. Future documentation in the ecosystem project will help address this need. If further work is needed on the existing documentation, we can reopen...

The backups guide has an overview of a collection of backup procedures: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/backups/

There are specific instructions for backups with Amazon here: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/backups/#backup-amazon-software-raid

As always, full documentation of using MongoDB on Amazon is here: http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Amazon+EC2

Does this help? If you find any problems? If you have remaining questions please outline what they are and we'll work to add those resources to the Manual.
