Hi Sam, Does it make sense to start a buggy/broken configuration section in the docs? These are platforms that have platform bugs that are outside of our control. E.g., https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/MMSSUPPORT-1188 Python: 2.7.2-5 OpenSSL: 1.0.1-1 Arch Linux: Waiting for version from user (see ticket above - I added to the ticket). In this case, upgrading to Python 2.7.3 fixed the problem. In a nutshell, this platform is broken because of library compatibility issues. MMS seems to be broken, but it is doing the best it can. When writing software, you have to make some assumptions, such as... SSL will work properly -Ryan |

Agreed. |

I think these incompatibilities are caused by weirdnesses in specific builds in arch linux. |
