 Description

http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/production-notes/#mongodb-and-numa-hardware

It seems some people are getting confused about the NUMA guidelines when they have exactly one physical processor, in which case the discussion is moot.

Examples of confusion:

With a single physical processor, it doesn't matter whether you use "numactl --interleave=all" or not.

NUMA settings only matter with > 1 physical processor.
