This is incorrect: "If using SSL on your mongods, both the monitoring agent and backup agent need port 443 opened so they can connect to the mongods via ssl."

mongod does ssl on it's conventional port. The agents needs 443 outgoing open to connect to ingestion if ingestion/etc is using ssl.

Will add this to the docs as part of the current sprint.

The "MMS Monitoring Server", MMS Backup Ingest Server", and "MMS Backup Alerts" are all part of the MMS package install, so they will be on the same machine. The Backup daemon may be installed elsewhere.

MMS Monitoring Server:
8080 - web server, available from browsers and from the machine where the monitoring agent lives.

MMS Backup Ingest Server:
8081 - available from browsers for HTTP restores, and from the machine where the backup agent lives.
8091 - (optional) debug port, localhost only for internal diagnostics.

MMS Backup Alerts:
8650 - localhost-only; kill port that startup script uses to signal a shutdown
8092 - (optional) debug port, localhost only for internal diagnostics

MMS Backup Daemon:
8640 - localhost-only; kill port that startup script uses to signal a shutdown
27500-27503 - ports on which daemon spins up localhost-only mongod "HEAD" processes for applying oplogs.
8090 - (optional) debug port, localhost only for internal diagnostics.

If using SSL on your mongods, both the monitoring agent and backup agent need port 443 opened so they can connect to the mongods via ssl.

The monitoring agent needs to be able to connect to port 443 on the Monitoring Server, if you are connecting to it via ssl.

MMS needs two mongods running - these run on ports 27017 and 27018 by default, and will need to be reachable from the MMS servers.
