"Restores of specific snapshots and point in time restores are both available for replica sets. Clusters restore from a snapshot time for consistency." What does this mean? Is this saying that if I have a single replica set I can do either a snapshot recovery or a point-in-time recovery, but if I have a cluster (multiple replica sets; a sharded environment) that I can only do a snapshot recovery? And, what is a "snapshot time". Seems like I could restore from a given snapshot, or from a snapshot, plus any additional point in time data from either the running mongod cluster replica running within MMS, or from a subsequent snapshot. |
