 Description   

The SNMP alert security levels should be described.

The security alert levels are hardcoded in MMS and cannot be modified. Please check the current list of levels.

1 - debug
2 - info
3 - warning
4 - error
5 - critical

After looking into the source code, I found that the alerts are mapped as follow.

  • Resolving event types : info
  • Host event types
    • Host down: critical
    • Host recovering: warning
    • Host threshold: warning
    • Host with old version: info
  • Agent event types
    • Monitoring or backup agent down: critical
    • Monitoring or backup agent with old version: info
  • The rest of event types: warning
