RE: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/parameters/ Both mongoS and mongoD have server parameters which are documented on the above page. Some of these parameters apply to both mongod and mongos (like logLevel) whereas others apply to one or the other. Please make explicit whether a parameter is valid for mongod, mongos or both. A few ideas on how to do so are:
