Returning single entries from an array subdocument is not supported in versions before 2.2. The entire document must be returned. For example, the existing documentation on accessing BSON arrays for example in C++ could be improved here |

improved cross referencing in new C++ ecosystem pages. documented feature change in 2.2. tickets to improve other driver documentation should be opened (for the moment) in those driver's projects. |
