 Description

There isn't much information on the internals of the WiredTiger b-tree. This group thread has some information – https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mongodb-dev/hiRbSaINWlk

I hope more documentation is provided as the WiredTiger implementation is very interesting but different than most b-tree people use today, so the docs can help us understand how to get better performance from MongoDB.

It would also help to explain the role of eviction and checkpoints and how to tune them. See https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/SERVER-16665
