Request for addition of Glossary term/definition "Network Partition" In online classes via MongoDB University, MongoDB Cert Exams and even MongoDB Cert Exam study sessions there has been mention of the concept of a "Network Partition" in which a replicate set member(s) are isolated from the other members of the replica set due to a network failure or disconnect of sorts. However, there is no definition of this term in the glossary. At times I've noticed that others confuse the "partition" portion of the term with that of data partitioning regarding sharding concepts. |
