The term "sharded cluster" does not appear in the docs, nor should it. The term "sharded cluster" is confusing given the existence of partitioned and non-partitioned data in a cluster, and will lead to user confusion about how sharding works. Also "shard" is more descriptive of the actual deployment: it's a cluster of shards. "sharded" just describes some of the data. |
