c.oneill.codes@gmail.com, what version of Ubuntu are you using? Please note the text in the documentation: "MongoDB only provides packages for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) and 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr). These packages may work with other Ubuntu releases."

That being said, you can replace "$(lsb_release -sc)" with "trusty" if you are on utopic.
