 Description

The --ssl option for mongoimport is noted as a new feature in 2.6, but:

  • there's no mention that SSL isn't included in the default distributions
  • not sure this is the first version of mongoimport to support SSL (ref: SERVER-3729)

See:

Perhaps the "new" is a reference conflating the inclusion of SSL in most of the 3.0 packages? I think we should probably have a standard include section qualifying how to check for SSL support.

As at 3.0, SSL support should be included in non-legacy builds (64-bit Windows and Linux) as well as Enterprise builds.

Closing. I believe the mentions specific to 2.6 (not in default) as well as to 3.0 (now in most distribution) are currently there. Let me know if we're discussing different things.
