| Description |

It is really important having the chance to run MongoDB on Windows Server 2012 R2, as it looks like Windows Server 2012 and the previous versions have the 8TB memory limits for the virtual address space: From Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64
And also from the Windows documentation - https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa366778(v=vs.85).aspx |

These address space limitations are documented in the Data Size section of the Limits and Thresholds page. (Not that I disagree with explicitly adding "2012-R2" to the list of supported platforms.) Note though that |

We do support Windows Server 2012 R2. We just need to update the documentation at http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/installation/ |
