The production notes recommend minimum kernel versions for various Linux distributions: http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/administration/production-notes/#mongodb-on-linux The table doesn't include newer distributions that are supported such as RHEL 7, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. It also doesn't have any mention of Debian 7 or SUSE 11, which have official packages. I think we should either add explicit information on newer distributions, or note that the versions specified here are the minimum and there are no known issues on newer distributions. |
