The oplog parameter doesn't determine the size of the oplog on subsequent changes after the first start. This was disabled long time ago as I can see on The documentation and the comments in the mongod configuration file should mention this in order to clarify this fact and point the user in the right direction when changing the oplog size. |

ricardo.lorenzo In the docs, we currently state
in both the mongod reference page and configuration options reference. That bit of info isn't included in the mongod --help output, is that where you'd like it updated? |
