The 3.2 ESE at-rest encryption feature uses OpenSSL's ability to use AES-NI hardware accelerated instructions to provide adequate performance. Therefore the Production Notes and Production Checklist should be updated to say that if this feature is desired, a CPU with support for the AES-NI instruction set is required. |

I don't think required is the right word here. The system will function just as well without AES-NI, just slower but still correct. |
