On the wiki, here http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Import+Export+Tools#ImportExportTools-mongodump , it says 'mongo host to connect to ("left, right" for pairs)'. The parenthetical comment is not explained. The command-line help doesn't match that, and says -h [ --host ] arg mongo host to connect to ( <set name>/s1,s2 for We're guessing that <set name> means "replica set name," but what are s1, s2? This isn't even on the wiki. |

In version 2.0.2 the help text reads: "mongo host to connect to ( <set name>/s1,s2 for sets)" s1,s2[,etc.] refer to a comma separate list of host names in the replica set to serve as seeds, as in the server. This is documented thoroughly in the new docs. I'm going to resolve this issue and will close later pending the publication of the new docs. |
