We should review how the server defines data sizes, like "gigabyte." Is it the power-of-ten or power-of-two size? Currently, the documentation uses SI power-of-ten prefixes throughout. If the server does use power-of-two sizes, we should sweep through all of the docs to use the proper IEC binary prefixes to be as accurate as possible. It may also help to clarify what the actual sizes are, in unprefixed byte counts, in some appendix page. |

The Server calculates byte measurements internally in powers of 2, but displays information in powers of 10. Though this may be confusing, the Server is consistent in always using SI decimal prefixes rather than IEC binary prefixes. To that end, the documentation will follow the server and consistently use the decimal prefixes, unless the Server decides to do otherwise. |
