| Description |
|
Specifying true for net.ipv6 may have no effect if net.bindIp is set to an ipv4 address, which may be the case for Debian and Redhat packages where "127.0.0.1" is used instead of our own default of all interfaces. It may be helpful to include a blurb advising users to check net.bindIp if they wish to enable ipv6 support. |

https://www.mongodb.com/docs/v6.0/reference/configuration-options/#mongodb-setting-net.bindIp includes a note about net.ipv6. While that doesn't address my original concern exactly, I'm satisfied with the cross-referencing. |
