For performance reasons, the "snapshot" query option was changed in 3.2 to force a collection scan (instead of forcing an _id index scan) when used against a server configured with the WiredTiger storage engine. This was changed as part of The cursor.snapshot() documentation should be updated to remove the reference to the _id index (however, the "snapshot" query option remains incompatible with sorts and hints). |
