In https://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/query-a-2d-index/#proximity-to-a-point-on-a-flat-surface, it states that "Proximity queries return the 100 legacy coordinate pairs closest to the defined point and sort the results by distance." Since MongoDB 3.0, this limit is no longer used: https://docs.mongodb.org/manual/release-notes/3.0-compatibility/#geo-near-compatibility |
