| Description |
|
"For an update operation, if the update operation results in no change to the document, such as setting the value of the field to its current value, the number of matched documents may be smaller than the number of documents actually modified. If the update includes the upsert:true option and results in the creation of a new document, n returns the number of documents inserted." This doesn't make sense, should it read, "...the number of <modified> documents may be smaller then the number of documents actually <matched>. |

I haven't been able to verify that this is true. I've tried various kinds of CRUD operations and I haven't been able to find one that succeeds but still makes getLastError return n: 0. The example given, where a document is updated with its current value, causes getLastError to return n: 1 in my testing. Am I missing something? |
