 Description

Hi,

  • Step 15 in the document is unclear. at this step I don't have any non replica-set config servers up
  • This comment is unclear: Use new dbpaths for the new instances.

Thanks
Asher

Hi Asher –
thanks for filing this ticket. Couple of questions:

  • At Step 15, don't you have one non-replica set config server up? So, we would start with three mirrored config servers. And the first is part of the upgrade procedure, leaving 2 non-replica set config servers. At Step 7, we shut down one of these non-replica set config servers. So, that by Step 15, you should have one remaining, yes?
  • Regarding "Use new dbpaths for the new instances" note in the Start new mongod instances step, would changing the phrasing to "Create new dbpaths for these new mongod instances" clarify the situation or was there some other thing that was unclear?

Regards,

Kay Kim
