Hello, We can only provide support related to the MongoDB service itself, such as installation instructions. If you need help installing MongoDB onto a shared server, please see the installation page related for your operating system. For example, if the Host Gator server is running Ubuntu, see the Ubuntu documentation. If you need help connecting to a running MongoDB server on a shared server, use the mongo shell tool to connect to the remote mongod instance, based on the hostname of the shared server and port number the mongod runs on. For example

Please note that any issues with the host gator service itself should be resolved via host gators own support. MongoDB cannot provide support for issues related to the Host Gator service itself. |
