 Description

Local mode configuration has a step entitled Populate all the Ops Manager servers with the .tgz files for the MongoDB binaries which tells you to download the binaries to the releases directory, but you must untar them as well. Otherwise, the HEAD daemons will error out with a message that the correct version of MongoDB cannot be found. Automation needs the tarball, and the HEAD daemons need the untarred subdirectories.

This change will likely affect many sections on this page.
