Epic Link: 3.4: Secondary reads with staleness control
Story Points: 0.5

 Description

Something like: "When the client knows the primary, it estimates a secondary's staleness each time it checks the secondary by comparing its last write date to the primary's. When there is no primary, the client estimates a secondary's staleness by comparing its last write date to that of the secondary with the most advanced last write date."

jesse Yup! It's in progress – been a crazy few days for meetings and I realized there are three pages that needed updating that I'd missed on the first pass, which is taking a bit of time. Hopefully it'll be back to you mid-day today. I'll loop Andy in on the CR at that point.

allison.moore@mongodb.com, this is still in progress from our round of reviews on 11/29, right? Let me know when the next version's ready to review, please, schwerin and I would like to read it.

There have been changes:

SPEC-688 (rename maxStalenessMS to maxStalenessSeconds)
SPEC-786 (make the minimum 90 seconds)

I can help review the docs if you'd like.
