On https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/core/security-encryption-at-rest/ we describe that we support two encryption modes in MongoDB Encryption At Rest: AES256-CBC and AES256-GCM. We should have an 'important' box on https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/core/security-encryption-at-rest/ indicating that while using AES256-GCM, administrators should not make copies of their datafiles. |
