Mongod service would not start using /etc/mongod.conf. Resolved by altering the the "Install MongoDB Community Edition" step 5. Needed to change the line: To: i.e. add "=" to the --config parameter |

I've done a clean install of MongoDB 3.2.10 on a fresh Ubuntu Xenial. I copy-pasted all commands from the install instructions and haven't had an issue starting up mongod. As such, I'm going to close this as 'Cannot Reproduce'. andrew.aldridge If you'd like to weigh in on adding the =, you're more than welcome to do so, but as it stands this seems to work on a clean Ubuntu install. |
