 Description

SERVER ticket description:

Epic Summary

Summary

Create a new authentication mechanism that allows clients possesing an identity provided by Amazon's Identity and Access Managment (IAM) to remotely prove their identity to a MongoDB server.

Motivation

Many smaller MongoDB customers have Amazon AWS, but do not have a central Identity Provider service such as Active Directory. An IAM authentication mechanism would allow these customers to leverage their existing authentication/authorization infrastructure with MongoDB.
