Hi pradeepkusingh@gmail.com,

As per our the Requirements section of our README (https://github.com/mongodb/mongo-go-driver#requirements), we require Go version 1.10 or higher. The specific error you're seeing is because we use a type alias, which requires Go 1.9. Versions 1.8 and below supported type declarations but not type aliases.
