I am unable to connect to my MongoDB Atlas cluster via VPC / standard connection. I have correctly configured the VPC and whitelisted both 0.0.0.0/0 and my CIDR from when I peered with GCP. When connecting the same URL in NodeJS in the same GKE cluster it works fine however when I connect in Go using mongo-driver it doesnt error on connection but errors on when I ping mongo as it just times out. I also have configured dnsPolicy: Default in my kubernetes deployment.

I'm not sure if it's showing up for others, but the pictures in your description are just showing up as gray blobs for me. Can you replace them with attachments or copy/paste the relevant pieces of information as text into the description instead? I know you mentioned you've resolved the issue, but it'd be great to see what the errors are so we can see if we can update our documentation to provide guidance for other users. – Divjot |

I have resolved this issue by changing my docker file to not build from scratch but build from alpine so that it has the basic certificates |
