The connection string spec says "A WARN level logging message MUST be issued for unsupported [option] keys": https://github.com/mongodb/specifications/blob/master/source/connection-string/connection-string-spec.rst#keys The Go driver does not log a warning. I think it should log a warning during parsing, as the Java driver does. |

The driver currently does not have any logging capabilities, so issuing a warning for unknown URI options isn't possible. I'm linking this to |
