Respected Sir, I am completely new to opensource environment. I want to start contributing to mongodb, as i have been using it for a while now. Can you help me with where should I start, and how to go about it? Thanks. |

Hi nikhil, Thanks for your message - we look forward to your contributions! The best place to start might be to join in the conversation at the mongodb user group or stackoverflow and help other users by drawing from your experience with MongoDB. If you are asking in regards to the Java driver itself - the code is readily available on github and you may want to download it there. All issues are tracked in this Jira project and I'm happy to review any pull requests in github. Talking about Jira, just for future reference the Jira project is really for issues with the Java Driver or feature requests. Other ways to help might be to write about the MongoDB, tutorials, cook books, hold a MUG, talk at a conference etc... It all helps and all help is appreciated! If you want to discuss this further then the mongodb user group really is the best place and you will reach the wider mongodb community. Ross PS. I'm closing this ticket as its not a issue with the Java driver per sae but I'm looking forward to your future contributions. |
