Currently when I pass in a Codec to retrieve a collection I am still required to convert things to Document. It would be nice if the entire API was generic so things like MongoView#find accepted type T. Here is a simple stab at it http://git.io/d3j2UA |

I just took a look at the normal driver, and looks like it's been solved, slightly differently. Definitely some inconsitencies, but either way it would be nice to be able to do this for the async client. |
