 Description

I want to upload 1GB file using GridFS. If I uploaded, where the file is stored?
is it store in MongoDB or other location?

Can I use mongodb for DMS (Document Management System) application.
If so, where all the documents/files will store. How will maintain versions of document/file. (i.e version update). Please suggest me on this.

Note: In DMS application we can upload > 100GB data

Please refer to the GridFS documentation for the technical details of how GridFS breaks up large files and stores them in MongoDB.

While GridFS can be used as a building block for a DMS, and does have limited support for multiple file versions, it is not a full-featured DMS in its own right.

For additional questions about your use case, please start a new thread in the MongoDB user forum.

Regards,
Jeff
