| Description |
|
Stateful operations require a store for such state. Kafka offers a state store api to allow using any backing storage engine. To decrease operational load across storage engines it would be a benefit to run mongodb as the state store for kafka. https://kafka.apache.org/10/javadoc/org/apache/kafka/streams/processor/StateStore.html |

This is orthogonal to the Kafka Connector. If there is more interest we can look at a completely different solution that does implement a state store. |

While this does look interesting it is orthogonal to the connector. |
